Masai Mara is the most popular tourist destination in Kenya. The reserve is located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland and contiguous with Serengeti. The annual migration involves over 1.5 million wildebeests between July and October. There have been some 95 species of animals and over 400 bird species recorded in the reserve. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason a visitor hardly misses to see the big 5; buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, rhino.
Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
You will be picked up by 0730hrs from the airport or hotel in Nairobi. Depart for a 6hrs journey across the scenic Great Rift Valley to Masai Mara National Reserve. This is the most famous and most visited reserve in Kenya. It offers breathtaking views as seen in the film ‘Out of Africa’, where much of it was filmed. If has a high density of wildlife including the “Big Five” and many varieties of plains game. The phenomenal movement of the wildebeests dubbed as the ‘Great Migration’ can be witnessed here annually from July to September. Arrive in the park and enjoy an afternoon game drive before checking in at the camp.
Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, full day game drive with picnic lunch or morning and afternoon game drives with lunch at the camp.
Maasai Mara is contiguous with Serengeti and home to Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino, Masai Giraffe, Eland and thousands of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, Thomson’s and Grants Gazelles. In the months of July, August, September and October, you will spend part of your day tracking the migration.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Nairobi
Breakfast at your camp. After check out, depart as you bid farewell to the great plains of Masai Mara to drive 6hrs to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be dropped at the airport or hotel. Optional lunch or dinner at the Carnivore restaurant at extra cost.
